I get asked this more than almost anything else: "Where do I even start with your hockey books?" Fair question — at this point there are over 40 hockey romance titles between nine different series, so here's the short answer and the long one.
The short answer: pick any series below and start with book one. Every hockey series stands on its own — different team, different town, different couple — so you don't need to read them in any particular release order. Within a single series, though, read the numbered books in order, because recurring characters and team history build as you go.
The nine hockey series
Here's every hockey world we've built, in no particular order of preference (I love them all for different reasons):
- Harrisburg Railers — the flagship series, written with V.L. Locey, and the longest-running one we've written: thirteen numbered books, several novellas, and four box sets and counting.
- Owatonna U — college hockey, campus life, and first love.
- Arizona Raptors
- Chesterford Coyotes
- Boston Rebels
- LA Storm
- Railers Legacy — a spin-off from the original Railers world.
- Rochester Copperheads
- Carlisle — reader-favorite branding for a set of hockey books filed under "Free Reads," which sometimes confuses people, so I've answered that one separately in the FAQ below.
Most of these are co-written with V.L. Locey, which is part of why each series has its own distinct voice even though they're all set in the same sport.
Where to find the exact book order
Rather than retype every title here (and risk getting a number wrong six months from now when a new book comes out), the most up-to-date, always-current version of this list lives on two pages I keep updated directly from my catalog: the Hockey Romance Hub, where you can filter every hockey book by series or trope, and the hockey reading order guide, which lays out the book-by-book sequence for each series.
If you want the bigger picture — how the hockey books fit alongside everything else I write, from found family to small-town romance — the MM Romance Reading Order pillar page is the place to start.
Still have questions?
I've answered the two questions I get asked most about this corner of my catalog directly in the FAQ: are the hockey books connected to each other? and what's the difference between Carlisle and Harrisburg Railers? And if you're curious which series has the most books to binge through, I've answered that one too.
